A Course Designed Specifically for Licensed D.C.s
D.C.s participating in this course will have the opportunity learn passive and active physiotherapy principles and techniques. The purpose of this course is to allow currently practicing D.C.s who do not have the physiotherapy designation on their state license to fulfill the requirements to take the NBCE Physiotherapy exam or obtain the 120 hours of Physiotherapy required for the PT license designation (requirements vary by state). This course is didactic in nature, providing both classroom and laboratory experiences for participating D.C.s.
In 2015, we re-designed this course to be heavily virtual with fewer classroom/live hours. The new format is 100 hours of online instruction and 20 hours of live lab instruction or capstone projects.
Enrollment is continual and you can begin the coursework at any time. Live lab dates are based upon enrollment. If numbers do not warrant a live weekend, two final capstone projects can be submitted in lieu of live course attendance. Average time to complete the course can vary based on the amount of time practitioner can dedicate each week to coursework. Typical timeline of completion based upon 10hrs/week is approximately 12-14 weeks.
All live lab weekends are held in Houston, Texas unless otherwise noted.
