Steps to FAKTR Certification:
#1. Attend a LIVE 12-hour hands-on course
Raise the bar with your patient treatments and spend a weekend with us learning a complete IASTM and rehab protocol that can transform your practice beginning on Monday morning. Most classes are approved for CE credit for DCs, PTs, PTAs, LMTs, ATCs and other professionals and vary from state-to-state.
#2. Complete FAKTR Online-the 6.5 hour online course
This coursework builds upon your current FAKTR knowledge by touching upon advanced nerve flossing and taping techniques, presenting research from the latest International Fascia Congress and discussing CPT coding for chiropractic billing of FAKTR-related services. Once registered, you have a 12 month time period to complete the coursework (self-paced presentations and videos) and take the FINAL EXAM.
#3. Successfully complete the final FAKTR exam
At the conclusion of the online course, you will be able to access the final exam for the FAKTR certification. The exam consists of case studies and multiple choice questions aimed at testing your knowledge on the hands-on and clinical applications of the FAKTR concept. A passing score is a 70% or higher.
Once you’ve complete the final exam, you will be asked if you’d like to receive CE credit for the online course. This course is eligible for 6.5 hours (4.5 coursework and 2 hours for final exam) in many states but can vary based on your state’s acceptance of distance learning hours. There is an additional fee for CE credit paid directly to UWS and they can answer any questions you have about specific CE approvals for your state. For CE-related questions, contact Brian Fassnidge at the University of Western States at [email protected] or call 503-847-2550.
